Escape from Planet X

Rising up through the sky,

For years, I’ve prayed for freedom.

Climbing, can’t turn back:

Skyline fades to black

Vengeful renegade

With blood and pain and hunger.

Striving to survive,

Today, I feel alive.

Fire at my heels,

I fly, with speed and power.

Burnt it to the ground:

The bodies, never found.

Spiral out into space:

Escape this astral prison.

Meeting god at last,

So infinitely vast.

Arrest all passage of time,

Suspend my animation.

Shattering my mind,

I leave it all behind.

Rising up through the sky

I leave my hollow body:

Spirit pulled from me,

Transcend mortality.
